The Management/Owners of Pangea Logistics

Patty Lee, B.A., CPA, CGA – President and General Manager

Starting in 1988 as a Controller within Pangea Logistics’ tug and barge operation, Patty was promoted to Manager of Finance for Pangea Logistics’ Agency Division. She was then promoted to General Manager in 1997, then President in June, 1999.

Previous employment highlight included VP and CFO of a major Vancouver based retail organization where she successfully implemented the turnaround of a CDN$1.0 million loss to a CDN$1.3 million profit within a three-year period. Patty has obtained a prominent position within the Vancouver shipping community.

In her capacity at Pangea Logistics Inc., Patty is responsible for the overall performance of the organization and representing Pangea Logistics as the liaison to corporate partners, top level suppliers and customers.

Michael Prout, B. Com Queens University – Vice President and Transportation Services Manager

Michael began his ocean transportation career in 1990 as a customer service representative.

Michael has over the years developed an expertise for cargo handling and care, including the technical analysis needed to identify the cause and develop the preventive measures needed to eliminate the potential of damage. This has proven to be invaluable in the transportation of damage sensitive cargo in all modes.

In Michael’s current role he is responsible for the management of cargo claims, overseeing specialized projects and contract negotiations for break bulk and containerized shipments.

One of Michael’s key assets for our customers is his highly cultivated analytical skills and ability to review a complex and critical problem and systematically communicate a workable solution.

Jane Bruner – Vice President and Traffic Manager

Jane joined Pangea Logistics in 1991 as the Senior Accountant. In 1994 she was promoted to Agency Manager and in 1996 to Traffic Manager. In 1999 Jane was promoted to Vice-President.

As the Agency Manager, Jane managed the B.C. vessel operations of Naviera Pacifico. In addition she was responsible for overall voyage and cargo costings, quoting ocean freight rates and negotiating charter parties.

In her current role as Traffic Manager, she is responsible for customer customized management reporting, overall Ocean Freight Synergies, rate negotiations and overall customer service. As the Traffic Manager is also oversees the day to day performance of the staff, ensuring excellent customer service levels are maintained.

Jane is active in the shipping community, maintaining close contact with carriers, shippers, cargo brokers, vessel brokers and marine agents.
