Pangea Logistics Staff

All of Pangea staff are specialists in traffic and documentation functions. Each member of our team have extensive experience in ocean shipping including intermodal including mill transfer from production floor to final destination.

Ursula Tattrie, Director Business Development and Sales

Goal oriented with over 35 years of experience, in commercial transportation (import/export), Ursula has an extensive knowledge of marine shipping and a proven success record in freight negotiations. Her experience includes working as a freight forwarder, ship owner’s representative as well as cargo owner with focus on forest products.

Her most recent experience was with one of the largest forest products companies in North America, where she worked as the Director of Logistics, responsible for all aspects of export freight negotiations. She also developed and managed highly effective customer service team, training, problem solving and international shipping requirements. She is well versed with all aspect of freight negotiations in rail, trucking, terminal and ocean.  Ursula is also well respected within the shipping and forestry community.

Mallory Lee-Gilson, Controller

Mallory has over 15 years of experience including management and training roles in a multi-team environment, marketing, and accounting primarily in customer and service focused organizations. Mallory’s education background includes both a Business Management degree and Honours Bachelor of Arts with a major in sociology, minor Canadian and East Asian studies from the University of Toronto.

Mallory will be involved in all aspects of Pangea.

Tracey Lee, Senior Account Manager

Tracey has over 30 year experience within the shipping industry starting in 1987 at a freight forwarding company where she was employed for over 10 years. There she was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company including documentation, traffic, general cargo coordination and sales.

Tracey joined Pangea Logistics Inc. in 1998 as a Customer Service Representative. After demonstrating her strong customer service skills and depth of knowledge, Tracey was promoted to Account Manager in 1999 and Senior Account Manager in 2008.

Tracey is directly responsible for the coordination and traffic of break bulk and container export cargo providing a direct link between the customer and the service providers.

Lindsay Sutton, Account Manager

Lindsay has over 15 years of international logistics experience in the shipping industry. Starting at an ocean carrier in 2003, Lindsay has moved on to work as a freight forwarder specializing in Canadian agricultural and forest products to Asian markets. Her educational background in Communications (B.A. University of Calgary 2002), and her diverse professional experience, including work in documentation, traffic, logistics and sales, provide her with an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the shipping industry, and have contributed to her proven track record of effective client account management.  She works with clients from across Canada and the U.S. focusing on the Trans-Pacific and Trans-Atlantic trade lanes.

Jayson Sandhu, Account Manager

Jayson began his career with an international freight forwarding company in 2007 before moving to Pangea Logistics in 2010. Jayson joined Pangea as a customer service representative and immediately demonstrated his added value both within Pangea and with Pangea’s clients. Jayson was promoted to Account Manager and is involved in all aspects of traffic, bookings, rate negotiations and general cargo coordination.  Jayson’s primary focus is Mexico and Latin America. Jayson’s past history and experience includes working as an integral member of an international 3PL group.

Kate Cherkassky, Documentation Supervisor

Kate has extensive knowledge and experience working for a major ocean carrier in the documentation group and later for a major shipper.  Kate is responsible for all documentation services at Pangea which includes documentation coordination between carriers and customers, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and overall smooth performance within the documentation group.

Marian Ng, Documentation Coordinator

Marian began her extensive experience in export documentation in 1986 at Gearbulk Shipping. She brings excellent customer service skills and professionalism to her role at Pangea. Her steady, quiet manner, attention to detail and exemplary customer service is highly valued by Pangea’s customers.

Lili Fu, CSR, Traffic/Documentation

Lili’s experience began in China working for a trading company for over 12 years.  Lili worked closely with suppliers coordinating with their U.S. and European customers on sales, new product development and logistics.  Lili’s experience in shipping documentation combined with the sales and manufacturing process, enables her to provide added value in meeting her customer’s requirements and providing excellent service.

Tony Vanderbyl, Documentation Coordinator

An export documentation specialist for over 17+ years and a well-respected member of Vancouver’s shipping community. Tony has worked with an international client base in the marine and forest products industry. Tony’s experience includes Letters of Credit and sales documentation for three major forestry companies. Aside from his extensive experience, Tony also has a BA in Business Administration.

Sachiko Zukowski, Documentation Coordinator

Sachiko is an import/export documentation and traffic specialist who has worked in the export shipping sector for over 24 years. Her extensive knowledge and experience have included negotiation and preparation of Letters of Credit shipments via air and ocean for seafood, agriculture, steel and lumber. She has also worked in various supervisory and managerial roles within the industry.

As a way of meeting our customer’s needs, Pangea has experienced staff that work on site as an integral component of the Supply Chain and Customer Service process.

Betty Mah, Senior Documentation and Customer Service

Betty has been in the shipping and forest industry for over 30 years in export documentation. Betty has extensive experience and expertise with Letter of Credit and international country requirements for export shipments.

Betty’s area of responsibility includes the documentation service cycle with critical focus on procedural requirements, accuracy and timeliness. Betty works as an integral member of the customer service team within the Catalyst head office in Richmond.

Fermille Axalan, Documentation and Customer Service

Fermille’s experience includes working with a major pulp producer in B.C. as well as a 3PL transportation company.  Within those roles, Fermille gained extensive knowledge in Export documentation, Letters of Credit and Marine cargo insurance.  Fermille also worked in customer service, logistics and as Project Manager implemented a new Pulp Tracking Management system. Fermille has both a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Science from UBC.

Pamela Liu, Documentation and Customer Service

Pamela has over 27 years of international trade experience in Hong Kong and Canada.  Pamela has extensive knowledge in export/import documentation and Letter of Credit. Pamela also has excellent customer service and team leadership skills. Pamela is a mature, positive and hardworking individual, who always strives to achieve the highest standard possible and she has excellent communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Joy Yuan, Documentation and Customer Service

Joy has been working in the export industry for a number of years handling both export and domestic shipments, while providing exceptional service to clients located in Canada, US, China, Japan, Taiwan, Europe, and Middle East.   Joy has strong knowledge of freight forwarding, specialized freight services, supply chain management, and marketing.  Joy graduated from UBC, and has both CIFFA and FIATA certificates.
